About

Adam Moorad was born in Chicago in 1983. His poetry and fiction have appeared in numerous literary journals. He once killed a snake with a stick. It was a black snake. He believes in the disordered order of things. He lives in Brooklyn.

Oikos was produced between 2/2/2010 and 11/21/2010 with the following software: Smultron, LibreOffice, Gimp, Scribus, Sigil, and GraphicConverter on a 2008 UniBody MacBook in Texas by P. H. Madore. Hard copies were printed by 48HrBooks of Ohio, USA. It was published by the nonpress collective in the same manner that 2009's Nobody Trusts a Black Magician was: a collaborative effort between author and producer. A conversation between the author and the producer may either be downloaded here or streamed via the soundtrack (last track).

Copies are available by contacting the author directly. Who knows, maybe he’ll make a deal for a subscription to your ’zine or something.

The following people and organizations donated a total of $60USD in the run-up to production (in reverse chronological order): Jeremy Sheppard, Valerie Walter, Pank, Mel Bosworth, and Jennifer Bridges. For these early expressions of faith, we cannot express enough gratitude, and so will not bother any further.

Submissions of all shapes, types, and sizes are more than welcome and should be sent to notes@disproductions.org with the subject "nonpress submission." You now have three people to impress, and they are exactly the three people who've used the nonpress moniker since 2008.
